Did you know that our passionate volunteers are committed to more than just removing ghost gear? Certainly in times when we sail out less, such as in the winter months, we are also active in cleaning up inland waters. Last week our volunteer team gathered at a popular Dutch dive site called “Nieuwe Meer” to clean up another area of it. The waste we find here comes from various forms of recreation such as beach visitors, swimmers and recreational anglers.
